For many years, I taught trades math, and local entrance exam test prep (mostly the IBEW Aptitude Test). Then COVID hit. For the next two years, it was all emergency remote learning for me. Every day, I failed at deliverables that used to be layups.
“Full circle” would be cliché, and not even accurate. But we all are somewhere, right now. And all of those layups, now, finally, are back in my repertoire, teaching enclosed by cinder block walls, among among my brothers and sisters, working honestly for our wages. The mind boggles.
I only made it through this year so far, by telling myself under no uncertain terms last Christmas that all of the bars I gathered during 2020 and 2021 would be redeployed, towards values I want and desire.
